SabreSeal FRA+ Fire Sealant 600ml Foilpack Grey - Box of 20
SabreSeal FRA+ Fire Sealant is a high-performance, water-based, acrylic, fire-rated joint sealant designed for sealing interior & exterior construction joints. In suitably designed joints it has a fire rating up to 4 hours and provides an elastic, flexible seal.
Available in:
600ml Foilpack
Applications
- Sealing vertical and horizontal fire-rated joints in concrete panels
- Sealing interior & exterior construction and expansion joints
- Sealing joints in precast panels
- Perimeter sealing of doors and window frames
- Caulking around concrete panels and sealing of concrete
How to use
- Surface preparation
Substrate surface must be dry and clean; free of dirt, grease, oil, or standing water. For a neat finishing, use masking tape and remove it within the working time. For movement joints, use backing material to avoid 3 sided bonding.
- Method
Cut off the end of the sausage and insert into a manual or pneumatic gun. Place the sausage nozzle on top of the sausage, and screw on the cap. Cut back the nozzle to the required size. Apply adhesive sealant to the substrate. For joint application: Insert nozzle into joint, apply adhesive sealant moving gun in a forwards direction – never pull backwards as air may be trapped in joint preventing a good seal. Tool the sealant within 7 minutes of extrusion before it skins.
- Painting
Allow to dry for one hour before applying water-based paint – test for compatibility.
- Clean Up
Wet sealants can be cleaned up with water. Cured sealants can only be removed mechanically.
